I just found your website and I keep coming back during my daughter's naptimes-I love being at home I just lack the basic skills women used to know by my age!! I hope to learn everything I can about building a home and teach my children while they are young. My mom is in awe of what I can do at home already- she wanted to do better also but was quickly single mom of four and her Mom did not teach her as hers did not teach her...this is similar in most of my friends lives also--they learned how to get great grades, impress authority and meet their goals in the workplace--yet we did not know how to fold sheets or make bread. thanks you for the hope.

Being a stay at home mom is a very demanding but rewarding job. For a while I struggled with what kind of career I should have until one night God told me that I was already where He needed me. Since then my relationship with God, my husband and my children have become much stronger. I am always looking for new ways to help my husband save our money and to make our house a home. Without websites like this one it would be impossible. Thanks Marilyn for all you do!

I joined this group just recently and am excited to learn what they have to offer. Someday, I'd LOVE to read those books, too. My hugest aspiration apart from walking more closely and intimately with Christ, is to become a better wife and mother. So, that said, I have a LOT to learn.
Thanks for posting this :)
Another great resource for mentoring is this magazine:

I just LOVE it. Many resources based on Titus 2 and homesteading. Very practical. I hope you have a BLESSED Mother's Day!

It is so nice to know there are women out there who still want to make a house a home. I LOVE being a homemaker, there are not enough hours in the day to do all of the things I want to do concerning the home. I thought I was the only one (along with my mom) who loves being at home. I treat my status of homemaker very seriously as if it were my job.

Hi Ladies!

I was so happy to come across your website! I find it very informative. I am a 42 year old single Mom and lost my own mother a year ago. I no longer have her to call on a whim when I need help with things sometimes, so finding your website has been a blessing. I look forward to your tips and trick of the trade so I can continue to pass all the good stuff along to my own daughters.

Blessings,
Sue Bliese
